So we stayed near Fish Hook Lake. It is more of a reservoir from what I can tell, but it was filled with wildlife from ducks to geese and water mammals. I thought the two adolescent robins following their mother was a sweet sight. I feel for the mom. The water lilies were abundant. It was the first time I have ever seen water lilies not planted in a garden but just there.

It was a nice way to begin and end each day on our trip. The lake was surrounded on both sides by a park. Baby Willow enjoyed splashing about in the shallow swimming area of the lake. If you are near Park Rapids, MN I would spend some time even if just a picnic and a walk around the park.
