Well C and I took Baby Willow out for a short walk after running errands near the State Fairgrounds in St. Paul. It is a nice space when the fair is not in town. There are events there and we stoped by for one of them. C took a photo of a mallard duck he saw.
Since we were near the St. Paul and Roseville border we found a lake that was a bit less known than Lake Como in Como Park called Bennett Lake. It was an absolutely beautiful day and many people were out and about to enjoy it. So a lesser known park with a lake would be much less crowded.
It is near a couple of main roads, but peaceful while on the path near the lake. There were people walking their dogs, and with their children. Many people were even fishing. It appears that there are several types of fish in this smaller lake.
We saw various types of birds and even a few turtles sunning themselves on a log. Sadly, we weren’t able to get too many of the birds in pictures.
As you can tell it was a relatively calm day as the only ripples were from the fish and the water fowl landing in the lake.
All in all a great place to see some nature after a day of errands in the St. Paul area
Bye for now.
