C and I try to support smaller businesses when possible. There was news of a new small grocery store on Lake Street that looked intriguing, Longfellow Market. They tried to model the interior after an earlier 20th century grocery store, but with modern features. Like many buildings in Minneapolis, they used many parts of the old building facade while having a completely new interior. This is not a Co-op grocery store, though there are several in the Twin Cities. This is more of a small town style grocery store. Although the prices were a bit more expensive than say a larger grocery store chain, the service was friendly and the vibe was relaxed.
Bye for now.
