Dunning Springs Park

Another stop we managed in Decorah, IA is Dunning Springs Park. This was another small city park that is well worth the stop. For those in the UK, it is like a small taste of the Lake District.

It was an easy walk to the waterfalls. Thought they have a wooden step system to get higher along the falls. Being at the bottom is a nice view so that even those that have to stay off the steps it is still a worth it stop. Despite the lack of words, I genuinely liked the waterfall as I love waterfalls. This is a pretty one.

We did take the walk to the ice caves. C felt much more brave than I did and ventured in the narrow opening for the ice cave. It is named ice cave as parts of it act more like a permafrost cave in other areas of the world. It does become more full in winter months.

Bye for now.
