It was a beautiful day so we took a walk at the Wood Lake Nature Center in Richfield, MN. This is a no pets allowed zone so Spotty and Stripes had to stay home. Seeing as it is early in a dry spring, there was plenty of brown still around.

We saw: ducks, geese, a beaver or woodchuck, sparrows, blackbirds and more. Baby Willow enjoyed the information room in the back of the main building. We were shocked at just how large some of the birds were right up close.

It was fun, and I hope to return again when the trees are full of leaves. The beaver’s dam and nest were cool sights too.
