So back in the US, we decided to take a much smaller walk around Brownie Lake in Minneapolis. It is just north of Cedar Lake on the Chain of Lakes and a good way to spend a bit of an afternoon. Truth be told, C and the boys had already walked around this lake and wanted to share it with me.

The quiet path and small lake is not for every one, but there are days when this is just the ticket. There were a few shy birds and mallard ducks. The trail had quite a bit of green growth despite the drought. With our grass being crispy at the time, the walk was a nice break from the brown.
