Walk around Lake Nokomis

It was unseasonably warm here in the Twin Cities recently. C, baby and I joined some friends for a lovely stroll around Lake Nokomis. We were surprised at how quickly the snow melted away. However, due to such a cool November there still was ice on the lake.

We saw people walking on the lake as well as ice fishing. A popular past time/hobby in this area seems to be ice fishing in winter. Not everyone does it, but those that do are quite into it. Usually there are ice houses set up on the lakes, but due to the warm weather, they were out in the elements.

It was a nice day’s walk even with the overcast skies. The day and the weather felt very much like we were in April.

Bye for now.
