I love butterflies and there is a butterfly zoo near Ross-on-Wye so we went as a family to see the different butterflies fluttering in the zoo. While we were there a primary school class was on a field trip in awe of the variety they saw. I’ll admit my joy of seeing the butterflies wasn’t too different than the children. A few in their little voices expressed their fascination to me while my family and I explored the larger room.

The zoo even had my favorite butterfly that is native to Costa Rica, the Blue Morpho. Unfortunately they did not stick around in one place for long and I couldn’t get a good picture. Thankfully, other butterflies were more than helpful in this regard. I could have spent a much longer time in the facility, but my kiddos were eager to explore beyond the butterflies.

This was an unexpected day trip for me and I am so glad to have visited. Although it is a small building, it’s possible to stay intrigued for some time. Maybe that is just me.
Bye for now.
Wonderful pictures as always – and what stunning butterflies. I’ve not been to the butterfly zoo in Ross, but I might have to check it out.
