Weston again

Due to circumstances we made a return trip to the UK. We hit many of our regular haunts and a couple of new places none of us has visited before. With this in mind, we will start with a return visit to Weston with family.

We started with an very casual picnic in a park area near the old pier that has long since seen better days. I don’t remember the history of this pier, but I will share here. The gardens were nice with interesting flowers.

Yet again we focused on the beach area of the town as we truly miss the beach – in particular sandy beaches. There was a quick round of cricket and kicking the ball around. Walking the causeway structure between the old pier and garden and the beach was an experience. The kids enjoyed the walk. On the other side there was a friendly and clean cafe.

Later on, we met more people at this huge open space cafe which is the size of a small pier. They had many sweet treats and options for quenching your thirst. It took time for me to adjust to a space so vast for a cafe, but I truly appreciated the space for a bit of privacy while there. This is a dog friendly place as we were able to meet a few well behaved furry friends. So if you are in town and want to experience the beach but not the sea gulls Revo is a great option.

The path along the beach had many pedestrians out for a walk. On the other side of the street the tourist shops and attractions were open but not as busy due to it being off season. We didn’t deviate from our beach side of the road on this trip. All in all another day trip with a surprise small pier sized cafe to enjoy. I like it when these simple surprises occur.

Bye for now.
