Owls at the Park

I’ve thought about posting or even not posting this. Alas, I have decided to share a walk I took with the kiddos and a friend in February. Due to how close the owls were to the pathway, I am not naming which park. While on this snowy walk we saw the typical squirrels and small birds that are not keen on having their portraits taken, we saw two barred owls, one male and one female at different parts of the walk.

With the snow crunching under our snowboots, and the sun casting shadows from the trees, we had a nice walk. Kid Willow even found a few fossils in the sides of the cut path. We also saw thick roots growing through the rock in interesting patterns. So even though the ground was covered in snow, there were interesting details to see along with the squirrels and birds.

I’m glad we ventured out with our friend that day. Bye for now.
