As fall began to settle in on the Twin Cities, we took a short trip to Steve Michaud Park in Lakeville, MN for some fresh air on a calm afternoon. As this is Minnesota, we try take advantage of the fall and the colorful leaves as winter can be quite chilly and long.

There are two distinct areas and yet they blend in along the path. The park area is full of soccer pitches and a decent playground for kiddos. The conservation area has a paved walking trail that runs straight through to the next main city street. The path itself is a relatively short paved path that travels through the park. This park really is a city level park for neighborhood joggers and enjoyment of the park grounds such as the playground. That being stated, I like having nature spaces to explore and am happy to see more of this in the suburbs.

After our walk in the conservation area the kiddos enjoyed the playground. The soccer pitches were not being used at the time and we had fun kicking our ball around for a short while. A good time to end a short nature walk.

Bye for now.
