Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden

After we visited the north shore we headed to this long established wildflower garden in Minneapolis. This was last summer when we were still in a major drought stage. It’s amazing how much can change in a year.

This garden in the park has been on our list for many years and it was good to finally go. One of the aspects of this garden was that they used native plants in their landscaping. This enabled the plants to withstand the drought when many other areas were completely parched.

We did remember to bring our bug spray, and took to the trails. The kiddos were a bit more eager to breeze right through, but C and I enjoyed the different types of flowers. There were many ideas for those that want to make a native pollinator garden in their own yards/gardens.

I bet this year the gardens are even more lush and green. This is a great place to visit if you are at all interested in gardens, parks or walks in general.

Bye for now
