Two Harbors Light House

Two Harbors is a small town that has a few touristy spots for those who love historical places and travel. However, we stopped by for a short rest when driving back to Jay Cooke from the Split Rock Light House. C wanted to stop and have our meal and explore a little bit. Knowing the history of this place, I wish we’d stayed longer and seen the museum exhibit in the building.

As it was evening we did not venture into the building, but walked around the grounds. None of us walked along the long narrow pier, but there were a few that had. It is still very much a freight port and the boys were able to see the tug boat in the water.

If you need a stop along the North Shore before arriving to Duluth this town is a good place. You might even be able to stay as this historic light house is now a Bed and Breakfast. There is enough to enjoy while you rest and you don’t have to feel like you are in a dedicated rest stop along the freeway/motorway.

Bye for now.
