Not too far from Monmouth is the village of Mitchel Troy. This small village has an old but active church, Church of St. Michael and All Angels, and a rather large playground adjacent which was perfect for the kiddos to blow off some steam. This pirate ship themed playground was new, of good quality, and clearly great fun by how much they played. While kiddos were playing, I was given permission to explore the church grounds and building on my own.

It is a very cool building and the signage is helpful for visitors to understand the history and meaning behind some of the artwork in the sanctuary. The church grounds is a place where you should watch your step, but the wildflowers and old growth roses were very pretty. Visiting this church is much like other older churches I’ve visited in the UK, but a bit smaller in stature and far more flowers in bloom.
Bye for now.
