Most of my experiences with being on the beach usually involves the waves crashing on the shore line much like a dull thunder. It was quite the surprise to me when we visited the beach in Weston at low tide as the water was quite possibly a mile away from the sand line. I learned that you need to be really careful on a beach with such a shallow tidal expanse as someone needed a rescue service while we were still there.

Seeing as we went with extended family and made a day of it, it was good to see Baby Willow determined to dig a tunnel in the sand and Kid Willow play a game of football/soccer whilst on the massive expanse of the sandy part of low tide beach. Sandcastles made and seashell hunting complete, we packed up our sandy things, and had good first in ages trip to the sea side.

As we drove away we saw a ton of sea side restaurants filled with local tourists. We chose to have a picnic and did not eat at these restaurants, but from the looks of things, a good variety of choice for the average consumer. Oddly this beach and town gave me a weird and smaller British version of Venice Beach mixed with Santa Monica Beach vibe. It is one of the sandy beaches as opposed to pebble (hand sized rock type) beaches in the UK. I’ll admit I am a sandy beach person.
Bye for now.
